Judas Iscariot – Team Jesus Christ | Holy Night

Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and one of the most controversial figures of the New Testament, joins Team Jesus Christ in Holy Night: Jesus Christ vs Santa Claus, bringing a character closely associated with betrayal, temptation and the dramatic events of the Passion into this extraordinary fantasy confrontation.

According to the Gospel accounts, Judas was the disciple who agreed to betray Jesus in exchange for thirty pieces of silver. His story has become one of the most recognisable episodes in Christian tradition, and the silver coins remain an enduring symbol of his actions. This miniature draws inspiration from that biblical narrative, presenting Judas as a restless and suspicious figure whose appearance reflects the tension surrounding his story.

The sculpture depicts a bearded man with short, dishevelled hair and a deeply furrowed expression. His narrowed eyes and stern features give him an intense, almost accusatory appearance, reinforced by his forward-leaning posture.

One arm stretches outward, his index finger pointing decisively towards an unseen figure. In his other hand he grips a large pouch filled with coins, an unmistakable reference to the thirty pieces of silver associated with his betrayal of Jesus.

Judas wears a hooded cloak over layered, worn travelling clothes, secured with simple straps and a rope belt. The fabric folds, frayed edges and practical boots give him the appearance of a wandering disciple, while his cloak falls heavily across his shoulders and back.

Standing on a circular stone-paved base, the miniature captures a moment of confrontation and uncertainty. Its expressive face, dramatic gesture and carefully sculpted money pouch create a character whose personality is immediately recognisable.

As a member of Team Jesus Christ, Judas Iscariot adds a morally complex and distinctive figure to the Holy Night collection, combining biblical storytelling with the expressive character design of fantasy miniatures.
