War Camel – Team Jesus Christ | Holy Night

The War Camel joins Team Jesus Christ in Holy Night: Jesus Christ vs Santa Claus, bringing the endurance and distinctive appearance of a desert caravan animal to this extraordinary Christmas fantasy confrontation.

Camels have long been associated with the journey of the Three Wise Men to Bethlehem in traditional Nativity imagery. Although the Gospel of Matthew does not specify how the Magi travelled, these animals became a familiar part of Christmas scenes and artistic representations of their journey. This miniature draws inspiration from that tradition, transforming the humble caravan camel into an impressive armoured companion.

The sculpture depicts a tall, single-humped camel equipped with elaborate protective armour and richly decorated travelling gear. Its head is adorned with a distinctive ornamental crest, while reinforced plates protect its chest and front legs. Carefully sculpted straps, ropes, tassels and decorative fittings cover its body, creating a richly textured appearance.

On either side of its back hang two large lanterns enclosed in intricate latticework, giving the animal the appearance of a ceremonial caravan mount prepared to travel through the night. The lanterns, together with the layered saddle equipment and numerous hanging ornaments, provide particularly interesting opportunities for miniature painting.

The camel stands calmly on a circular stone-paved base, its dignified posture contrasting with the heavily armed warriors of the Holy Night collection. Its detailed equipment and distinctive silhouette make it a versatile piece for Christmas-themed fantasy scenes, desert caravans and imaginative tabletop adventures.

With its connection to traditional Nativity imagery and its elaborate fantasy design, the War Camel adds an unusual and memorable presence to Team Jesus Christ, expanding the Holy Night collection beyond its warriors and legendary characters.
