David – Team Jesus Christ | Holy Night

David, the legendary biblical hero who defeated the giant Goliath, joins Team Jesus Christ in Holy Night: Jesus Christ vs Santa Claus, bringing courage, determination and one of the most celebrated stories of the Old Testament to this extraordinary fantasy confrontation.

According to the First Book of Samuel, David was a young shepherd who confronted the mighty Philistine warrior Goliath armed with little more than a sling and stones. His victory against an apparently invincible opponent became one of the most enduring symbols of courage and faith in biblical tradition. This miniature offers a fantasy reinterpretation of David as a mature, battle-hardened warrior, ready to face his legendary adversary once again.

The sculpture depicts a powerful, bearded man with a stern expression and long hair tied back. He wears practical travelling clothes, including a hooded cloak, layered tunics, sturdy boots and a wide belt equipped with several pouches. The cross-shaped ornament on his chest and the numerous accessories give the character a distinctive appearance within Team Jesus Christ.

In one hand David holds a tall, irregular wooden staff, recalling his origins as a shepherd. In the other, he raises his famous sling, with a rounded stone resting in its pouch, ready to launch the projectile that made his story legendary.

His weathered cloak flows behind him, while his firm stance on a stone-paved base conveys the determination of a warrior preparing to confront an overwhelming enemy. The detailed fabrics, leather straps, beard and carefully sculpted sling offer interesting opportunities for miniature painting.

With his iconic weapon and unmistakable biblical inspiration, David is a memorable addition to Team Jesus Christ and the Holy Night collection. His miniature also forms a natural counterpart to Goliath, allowing collectors to recreate one of the most famous confrontations in biblical history through an imaginative fantasy setting.
