The Mouse King, the terrifying antagonist of the classic Christmas tale The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by E. T. A. Hoffmann, joins Team Santa in Holy Night: Jesus Christ vs Santa Claus, bringing his monstrous royal presence to this extraordinary festive confrontation.
In the original story, the Mouse King is a fearsome seven-headed creature who commands an army of mice and confronts the Nutcracker. This miniature reimagines the legendary villain as an imposing fantasy monarch, combining the sinister appearance of a giant rat with the armour and ceremonial equipment of a powerful warlord.
The sculpture features seven snarling rat heads, each wearing a small crown, with the central head rising above the others beneath a larger royal crown. Their open jaws, sharp teeth and aggressive expressions create a striking and unsettling silhouette.
His powerful body is protected by elaborate armour, including decorated shoulder plates, chainmail, heavy bracers and reinforced greaves. A flowing cape hangs behind him, while a skull-topped sceptre and a tattered royal banner reinforce his status as the ruler of a sinister rodent kingdom.
Standing firmly on a stone base, the Mouse King combines the atmosphere of a dark fairy tale with the imposing presence of a fantasy battlefield commander. His elaborate sculpt, multiple expressive heads and rich ornamental details make him a particularly distinctive addition to Team Santa and the Holy Night collection.
