Kinetic Cannon – Mutant Rocket Hero Miniature

Some superheroes fly. Others turn themselves into unstoppable projectiles.

Kinetic Cannon captures the explosive abilities of Cannonball, the mutant hero Sam Guthrie, whose power allows him to propel himself through the air surrounded by a protective field of kinetic energy.

The miniature depicts the character at the precise moment of takeoff, rising above the battlefield with one fist thrust towards the sky. His determined expression and clenched fists convey the excitement of a hero launching himself directly into action, while the enormous column beneath him illustrates the tremendous force generated by his mutant abilities.

Rather than relying on a conventional flying pose, this composition places the energy effect at the center of the scene. A turbulent vertical blast rises from a shattered rocky base, surrounded by jagged projections, irregular formations and expanding waves of force. The effect gives the impression that the ground itself is being torn apart by the character's acceleration.

The hero wears a fitted combat suit with reinforced sections, geometric chest details and protective gauntlets. The textured sleeves and carefully defined costume panels add visual interest without distracting from the spectacular energy column.

One of the most appealing aspects of this miniature is the contrast between the relatively compact figure and the massive explosion supporting him. This unusual arrangement creates a strong vertical silhouette and makes the character instantly recognizable among other superhero miniatures.

Painting the energy effect offers considerable creative freedom. Bright yellows and oranges can recreate the appearance of an explosive launch, while glowing whites, fiery reds or more unconventional energy colors can produce striking alternative interpretations. The rocky debris and costume provide additional opportunities for weathering, shading and contrasting finishes.

Inspired by one of the original members of Marvel's New Mutants, Kinetic Cannon brings a distinctive sense of speed and raw power to X-Men collections, superhero encounters and mutant-themed tabletop adventures. Its dramatic launch effect also makes it an excellent centerpiece for a dynamic display.

The miniature is supplied cleaned and ready to play, prime and paint.
