Alert Captain – The Blade of Innsmouth

Along the desolate shores of Innsmouth, where abandoned fishing vessels rot in forgotten harbours and the ocean conceals secrets older than humanity, some captains have learned that survival demands more than seamanship.

Alert Captain – The Blade of Innsmouth represents a hardened maritime adventurer, a man whose years at sea have exposed him to dangers that ordinary sailors would scarcely believe.

This highly detailed resin miniature depicts a formidable, long-bearded captain standing upon a weathered stone pavement, brandishing a large curved cutlass toward an approaching enemy. His mouth is open in an aggressive shout, while his free hand is clenched into a fist, capturing the intensity of a confrontation about to turn violent.

His appearance tells the story of a life spent navigating dangerous waters. A long, battered coat with a raised collar hangs over a buttoned waistcoat, while his torn trousers, rope belt, bare feet, and thick beard reinforce his rugged maritime character.

The carefully sculpted cutlass, with its distinctive curved blade, gives the figure a powerful silhouette. Combined with the dynamic pose, expressive face, flowing coat, and textured stone base, it creates an excellent miniature for dramatic tabletop encounters.

Within the universe of H. P. Lovecraft, coastal settlements such as Innsmouth conceal unsettling connections between humanity and the unknown depths of the ocean. Sailors, smugglers, fishermen, and ship captains frequently find themselves drawn into mysteries involving ancient maritime legends, forbidden ceremonies, and creatures that should never emerge from beneath the waves.

The Alert Captain could represent an experienced sailor defending his vessel, a ruthless smuggler protecting a mysterious cargo, a shipmaster who has witnessed something impossible at sea, or an unlikely ally assisting investigators in their struggle against an eldritch threat.

Perhaps he has discovered a forgotten island marked on no nautical chart. Perhaps his crew vanished after approaching an abandoned ship. Or perhaps he knows more than he admits about the sinister activities taking place along the coast of Innsmouth.

For Lovecraftian board games and investigative tabletop RPGs, this miniature offers numerous possibilities. It can serve as an armed investigator, a maritime NPC, a dangerous adversary, or a survivor of a supernatural encounter whose testimony could reveal disturbing truths.

Its distinctive appearance also makes it suitable for adventures involving haunted ships, isolated fishing villages, occult smugglers, coastal expeditions, and confrontations with the Deep Ones.

The figure works particularly well alongside investigators, dockworkers, fishermen, cultists, and aquatic creatures, helping create atmospheric scenes inspired by the darker maritime elements of cosmic horror.

For miniature painters, the weathered coat, layered clothing, detailed beard, curved sword, and expressive facial features offer excellent opportunities to explore worn fabrics, metallic finishes, realistic skin tones, and the effects of saltwater exposure.

Available in different sizes, this high-quality resin miniature is supplied carefully cleaned and ready for priming and painting. It is ideal for Lovecraftian board games, tabletop role-playing adventures, narrative dioramas, and collections of maritime characters.

A fearless captain whose blade may be the last defence against the unspeakable horrors rising from the depths.
