The Tin Soldier joins Team Santa in Holy Night: Jesus Christ vs Santa Claus, bringing the discipline and determination of a traditional toy soldier to this extraordinary Christmas confrontation.
Inspired by the classic tin soldiers of European toy-making traditions and Hans Christian Andersen's famous fairy tale The Steadfast Tin Soldier, this miniature reimagines the familiar figure as a heavily equipped fantasy infantryman, ready to march into battle alongside Santa's unusual army.
The sculpture depicts a stern-faced soldier wearing a tall military shako decorated with an ornamental emblem and plume. His uniform combines the distinctive appearance of historical toy soldiers with reinforced metal plates, heavy shoulder guards, protective knee armour and sturdy boots, giving him a more imposing battlefield presence.
He holds a long musket fitted with a sharp bayonet across his body, maintaining a disciplined and vigilant stance. His equipment includes ammunition pouches, leather straps, a large backpack with a rolled blanket and a short sword at his side, adding plenty of realistic military details to the fantasy design.
The carefully sculpted uniform, riveted armour and numerous accessories offer interesting painting possibilities, from traditional toy soldier colours to more weathered and battle-worn finishes.
With his unmistakable military silhouette and determined expression, the Tin Soldier brings a distinctive combination of childhood nostalgia, classic fairy tales and fantasy warfare to Team Santa, making him a memorable addition to the Holy Night collection.
